ENCO Systems was founded in 1987, to design-in and distribute audio subassemblies manufactured by NV Philips, the Dutch electronics giant. For 20 years ENCO Systems has been a key partner with manufacturers in the specialty audio market – notably jukebox and hi-fi.

From its inception, ENCO Systems has been instrumental in the development and promotion of CD technology for the jukebox market. ENCO partnered with Rowe International to design Philips CD technology into the first generation of CD jukeboxes. ENCO has worked with every jukebox manufacturer in North America and maintains intimate knowledge of the structure of the jukebox market. Most recently, ENCO has teamed with Joel Friedman to support the transition of compact disc technology into its legacy service phase.
